8/12/15 - Hollofield, MD

We got up this morning and drove to a campsite at Patapsco Valley State Park on the outskirts of Baltimore. One thing we like about Maryland State Parks is that they have a Golden Age Pass which gives us a 50% discount on camping fees from Sunday through Thursday.  After setting up the trailer we drove to Fort McHenry.  This is the fort that was bombarded by the British in 1814 during the War of 1812.  The bombardment was witnessed by Francis Scott Key who was inspired to write the Star Spangled Banner, our National Anthem.  Then we drove to Heavy Seas Brewery where we had a beer.  Then we walked around the Inner Harbor of Baltimore.  We made a short stop at Wharf Rat for another beer and then had supper at the Diner Driven Ins and Dive place, Sip & Bite.
