Jim fixed breakfast sandwiches for
us this morning. We bought some lamb
chorizo near Bisbee, Arizona in February at a farmer’s market. I thawed it, made patties out of it and
cooked it. Jim used it in the breakfast
sandwiches. It was very good!
Then we drove to Prince William Forest Park. Jim wouldn’t get out of the car. He read about the park having a problem with
ticks and ever since he contracted Ehrlichiosis on one of our other trips from
the Lone Star Tick he stays away from any possibility of being bitten
again. They have a campground here but
we won’t be staying. A few miles down
the road is Quantico and the National Marine Museum. We went there and saw the exhibits. They had a piece of the Pentagon that was blown off by the 9/11 hijacked plane, and a beam from the World Trade Center. They also had the original flag that was raised on top of Mount Suribachi on Iwo Jima. On the way back to camp we stopped at Battlefield Brewing,
Spencer Devon Brewing, Blue & Gray Brewing, and Maltese Brewing. We had Subway sandwiches for supper tonight.
