9/11/15 - Asheville, NC

Jim made breakfast sandwiches for us this morning using blueberry pancake mix in the breakfast sandwich maker.   It tasted like McDonald’s sausage McGriddles.  Then we went for a walk on the hike/bike trail along the French  Broad River by us.  This is one of the oldest rivers in America.  It predates the Appalachian Mountains which are 300 million years old.  We sat outside and watched people floating down the river for a while.  After lunch we met Kim, Steve and Mike from Houston in Asheville for a brewery crawl.  Jim and I went to Catawba Brewing and waited for them to finish their tour of the Biltmore Estate.  They met us at French Broad Brewing and then we all went to Wicked Weed Brewing and had supper.  Afterward we walked to Green Man Brewing, Hi-Wire Brewing and the last stop was Asheville Brewing.  Tomorrow is another day for a pub crawl.
